Some time ago, the influential and powerful Toue Inc. purchased the Japanese island of Midorijima with the intention of constructing Platinum Jail—a magnificent utopian prison. Those who are fortunate enough to call it home are the world's richest inhabitants. The original occupants of the island, on the other hand, were compelled to migrate to the Old Residential District, and they were totally abandoned following the construction of Platinum Jail. The most popular games on the island are "rib" and "rhyme." Rib is an old-school game in which gangs battle over territory, whereas Rhyme is a technologically advanced game in which participants fight in virtual reality.
