Inari Fushimi, a frazzled-haired middle schooler, is everything from typical; she's dreadfully timid and horribly awkward, yet she's undoubtedly nice. Running through her hometown's twisting streets, she takes a shortcut via the local shrine and comes across a little fox pup in a river. She moves on after rescuing him, but her life takes a dramatic shift from this point on. The shrine goddess Uka-no-Mitama-no-Kami, "Uka-sama," thanks Inari for saving the puppy and bestows a portion of her power on her. Inari can now turn into anybody by saying the magical phrase "Inari, konkon," but will she have the confidence to express her thoughts to her crush, Kouji Tanbabashi? With her new angelic might and the fox spirit, Kon, Inari forms a sincere friendship with Uka-sama, encounters more of the supernatural world, and learns that true love knows no bounds.
