When reports of miraculous resurrections begin to circulate in Victorian London, the youthful Earl Ciel Phantomhive—the Queen's Guard Dog—is once again summoned to examine allegedly supernatural happenings. They join the luxurious cruise liner Campania with Sebastian Michaelis, his demon butler, to investigate reports about the Aurora Society—a medical group accused of experimenting on the dead. Grim reapers begin to arrive aboard the ship, and it becomes clear that the ship is going to be overtaken by the undead as a cunning plot is put into action. Ciel and Sebastian must now learn the truths hidden beneath the Aurora Society's phoenix symbol, and with the assistance of some old friends, return the undead to their coffins or share a watery grave.
