Natsuza Yuzuki has been a left-winger in rugby since he was a toddler. He immediately rises to prominence in the Kansai University League after enrolling at Doushisha University. His hopes are dashed, however, when a bad motorcycle accident leaves him with a spinal hernia, rendering him unable to play rugby again. With no other options, he accepts his new position as manager and believes his team can win the league title. Yuzuki's squad includes his stoic best buddy and full-back Seiichirou Jingyouji; hot-headed first-year Yasunari Tsuru, who has a great disdain for Natsuza and is replacing his senior's previous position as left wing; and Yuu Mashiro, who is trying to retain his place.
